Metavision-MX+ Details: Advanced Mobile Optical Emission Spectrometer
Rapid Analysis
With a mobile OES, speed of analysis is an essential attribute. Not only does it make for more convenience, but this also enables higher volume of testing – something that’s particularly valuable when segregating or evaluating scrap. The Metavision-MX+ and Metavision-MX offers highly optimized analysis times, down to <3s in Arc mode, <6s in Spark and <10s on the UV probe. This makes the instrument ideal for just about any application without causing wrist fatigue!
High resolution optics
The multi-CMOS optics of the Metavision-MX+ cover the full analytical range up to 671 nm (including Li and Na analysis) and offer very high resolution. Indeed, the resolution is comparable to and even better than most mid-range Laboratory OES! The optics are also completely insulated and thermally stabilized with a design that accounts for the unit being used entirely outdoors and across a wide range of ambient temperatures. The hermetically sealed and thermally stabilized on-trolley optics provide optical performance that is truly unparalleled on mobile OES!
The Metavision-MX leverages our patented optics design with the latest CCD technology to deliver high resolution in a delightfully ergonomic and light package.
The Metal Power Advantage
What makes Metal Power’s mobile OES far preferable to any other “portable” spectrometer or other handheld models is the ability to test for UV elements including C, S, P, B, As and N. Metal Power’s mobile OES can test for C in all three modes (arc, spark and UV) while the UV probes address the needs for testing all these elements to low levels (down to 20 ppm and lower). This makes Metal Power’s mobile OES far preferable to other portable or mobile options – particularly XRF – as these do not analyse UV elements at all.
